School House Children’s Day Nursery is set in an idyllic location in Billinge, Blackburn. We first opened our doors in 1992 and since then our aim has been to support the local community and provide high quality childcare that will help your child thrive emotionally, physically, and academically – enabling your child to become a happy and confident individual, well prepared for their transition to school and eager to learn.

Exciting experiences, designed with your child in mind (from birth to five years). Exceptional, well qualified practitioners including two qualified teachers. The team is led by our experienced manager who has an BA in Education. Our Floor Manager holds and Early Years Teacher Status. Many of our practitioners are mums.
During the time I have been with the company, I have worked my way through the nursery, starting as a Baby Room Leader, 2-3 Room Leader, on to a floor manager and then on to the manager.
I believe that throughout the setting my strong leadership and management skills, along with my passion and commitment drive the team here and their practice. Ensuring that each child is cared for and educated to the best of their ability, whilst having lots of fun and new experiences within the setting.
I have over 20 years experience working with children of all ages in roles of management, SENCo and as a key worker providing the best possible care and learning experience for each child I have worked with.
I believe in and am passionate about putting the needs and wishes of the child at the centre of my work, and nothing is more satisfying to me than watching happy and confident children learn and achieve as they laugh and play.
School House is an excellent nursery which takes pride in working with children and on their individuality to help them grow and develop. I love the extra-curriculum activities.

From Centre bear right onto Preston New Road B6233/A677 for 1 mile. At mini-roundabout go straight across and through the traffic lights. After 200 metres turn left at Woodlands Pub onto Meins Road. You will find School House Nursery after approximately 300 metres on the rights.
From M6 Junction 31 at Tickled Trout roundabout proceed straight onto Preston New Road, A59 towards Blackburn for 5.6 miles. As you pass Beardwood Hospital & Schools on your right, turn right after that and before the Woodlands Pub onto Meins Road. You will find School House Nursery after approximately 300 metres on the rights.
